Free market and exclusive distribution

Are they compatible?

Especially in beer and soft drink distribution, it is true that having the backing of a major manufacturer can be very helpful when it comes to winning over customers in your area. These manufacturers own the brands your customers ask for, and thanks to their support that customer becomes yours. But:
Does that manufacturer really respect your exclusivity by channelling all sales in your area through your distribution business?
Does that manufacturer prevent or restrict you from selling competing brands, limiting your sales and opening the door to your competitors?
Does that manufacturer allow you to be competitive against its "national" accounts, or do those national accounts get better prices on certain formats?
And can those "national" accounts sell other brands without restrictions?
Why is there legislation that prohibits exclusivity while, at the same time, thousands of so-called "adhesion" contracts exist and the competition authorities look the other way?
Are the customers yours, or do they belong to the manufacturer that helped you win them?
And what about the manufacturer's payment terms: do they match the reality of your customers?
And the discounts: how much money does that manufacturer owe you in credit notes to customers?
In short, being an exclusive distributor can sometimes be an ordeal, or perhaps not. But if what you want is CONFIDENTIAL access to other brands, and if what you want is to cover the full range of brands your customers buy at COMPETITIVE PRICES, then count on us, count on Red Paralela.
No risk, no cost, no commitment, no borders. The market is open at Red Paralela.
