We kept receiving invitations to webinars introducing the integration with the management software we use every day, which is <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"233\">Sage 200<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Everything sounded great until we got to the numbers: they were asking for a setup fee of <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"86\">nearly \u20ac2,000<\/b>, plus, of course, a recurring subscription fee.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">At <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"3\">Red Paralela<\/b>, we stopped for a moment to think and asked ourselves the million-dollar question: <i data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"91\">is it really worth paying that much?<\/i><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">When we looked at the problem objectively, breaking it down to its purely technical side, we realized that what we actually needed was much simpler than what we were being sold: <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"191\">we needed to generate a QR code from a specific set of data at the exact moment the goods were loaded<\/b>. That was it.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\">From Idea to Reality: The Power of AI and the Cloud<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Once we were clear about what we needed, we decided to present the problem to our friend <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"80\">Claude Code<\/b>. Within minutes, it gave us a perfect blueprint for how to build it.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">We did have an advantage, that&#8217;s true: for other in-house applications, we already had a cloud server and used our own GitHub repository for development. The foundations were already there. At first glance, integrating this new feature seemed a little more complex than usual, but we got to work, and the timing spoke for itself:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"10\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The first 2 hours:<\/b> We used them to build a test solution and check whether the system and data flow worked properly. In just those two hours, we were able to build the entire technical foundation of our own QR code generator.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">2 more hours:<\/b> We spent them running real-world tests in our environment and carefully analyzing the code to fine-tune it and make it fit <i data-path-to-node=\"10,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"129\">exactly<\/i> with the particular way we work at Red Paralela.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The result:<\/b> After a total of <b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"29\">4 hours of work<\/b>, we had a fully operational QR code generation system for DeCA, completely integrated into our workflow.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"12\">The Lesson? Custom Solutions Are Within Everyone&#8217;s Reach<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">What do I mean by that? The paradigm has changed. Today, with average-level knowledge of Cloud environments and by leveraging Artificial Intelligence for application development, <b data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"207\">any company with a &#8220;tech-savvy problem solver&#8221; can build projects that are 100% tailored to its needs.<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\">You no longer always need to rely on expensive third-party integrations for functions that are, at their core, quite simple. We&#8217;re seeing it constantly across the industry:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\">Some companies have built their own <b data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"42\">custom CRM<\/b> in just a couple of days.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\">Some companies have created <b data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"31\">invoicing software<\/b> in a single day by leveraging open-source building blocks that help structure the solution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\">And we solved a mandatory requirement like QR code generation at the point of loading in just one afternoon.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"16\">I don&#8217;t know whether your company is already moving in this direction and you&#8217;re starting to overcome the fear of building your own tools, or whether this article will simply help you open your eyes to the possibilities that are right in front of you.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"17\">Hopefully, it&#8217;s the latter.
